Windriven

Various projects have been completed on Windriven, a Beneteau First 35s5 racer /cruiser....

Amongst these projects are the fabrication, rewiring and cleanup of electrical panel, including installation of 3 battery banks, echo charger, and inverter.

The instruments have been tightly integrated into an extensive NMEA / SeaTalk solution, complete with autopilot, GPS, radar and laptop computer.

The mast sheaves shown in this photo were specially machined to replace the metric, nylon units shipped from the factory (upper sheave in the photo). The new sheaves were machined from high strength aluminum, and were fitted with replaceable ball bearings. The pins were also ground to exact dimensions from stainless steel.
